Quality Control Technician

Indianapolis Competitive p/h Permanent

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Perform routine quality control tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using standard laboratory techniques and instrumentation.
  2. Follow established protocols and procedures for conducting laboratory tests and analyses.
  3. Document test procedures, observations, and results in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and company policies.
  4. Identify and report any deviations from established quality standards or procedures to the appropriate personnel.
  5. Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
  6. Assist in the development and validation of new test methods and procedures as needed.
  7. Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot technical issues and implement corrective actions.
  8. Participate in laboratory inspections, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
  9. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and safety guidelines in all laboratory activities.
  10. Keep accurate records of inventory, reagent usage, and laboratory supplies.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related scientific field.
  2. Previous experience working in a laboratory setting, preferably in a quality control or analytical role.
  3. Strong understanding of laboratory techniques and analytical instrumentation.
  4. Familiarity with quality control principles and practices.
  5. Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain accurate documentation of test results.
  6. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  7. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  8. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications used for data analysis and documentation.
  10. Commitment to adhering to safety protocols and regulatory requirements in the laboratory.
