Laboratory Technician

Job Responsibilities:

1. Execute laboratory tests and experiments according to established protocols and procedures.
2. Prepare reagents, solutions, and samples necessary for experimental procedures.
3. Operate laboratory equipment and instrumentation with precision and accuracy.
4. Perform biochemical assays, chromatography, electrophoresis, and other analytical techniques.
5. Collect and analyze data generated from experiments, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
6. Document experimental procedures, observations, and results in laboratory notebooks or electronic databases.
7. Assist in the development and optimization of experimental protocols.
8. Maintain laboratory cleanliness and organization, including proper disposal of biohazardous waste.
9. Collaborate with fellow researchers to troubleshoot experimental issues and interpret results.
10. Stay updated on relevant scientific literature and contribute to the discussion of experimental design and data analysis.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, or related field.
2. Prior experience working in a research laboratory setting.
3. Strong understanding of biochemical principles and laboratory techniques.
4. Proficiency in the operation of laboratory equipment such as spectrophotometers, centrifuges, and pipettes.
5. Ability to follow detailed protocols and maintain accurate records of experimental procedures and results.
6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
7. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
9. Flexibility to adapt to changing research priorities and deadlines.
10. Commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant laboratory environment.
