Conduct regular inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Perform sensory evaluations, microbiological, and chemical tests to assess product quality and safety.
Maintain detailed records of all inspections, test results, and non-conformities in accordance with company procedures.
Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of quality assurance programs, policies, and procedures.
Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), and Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) standards.
Collaborate with production teams to identify, investigate, and resolve quality issues and deviations.
Conduct equipment calibrations and maintenance checks to ensure accurate testing and measurement.
Support the training of production staff on quality control procedures and food safety regulations.
Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits, inspections, and certifications (e.g., ISO, SQF, BRC).
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following all safety and sanitation protocols.
Continuously monitor and suggest improvements to quality control processes to enhance efficiency and product quality.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, or a similar role within the food and beverage manufacturing industry.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, GMP, FSMA).
Familiarity with laboratory equipment, testing procedures, and quality control documentation.
Ability to perform detailed inspections and maintain accurate records.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
