Inspection and Packaging Technician

Indianapolis 23 - 25 p/h Permanent

Job Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to production and manufacturing protocols.
  • Inspect filled product containers for cosmetic issues, particles, and structural defects.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of process documentation for the area.
  • Operate equipment in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensure compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
  • Perform labeling and packaging tasks for finished products.
  • Complete and review associated production records.
  • Train new inspectors following certification procedures.
  • Provide support to other manufacturing departments (Formulation, Fill, Materials) as needed.
  • Work in Grade C, D, and controlled non-classified cleanrooms while following proper gowning procedures.
  • Conduct cleaning and sanitization tasks as required.
  • Collaborate and communicate with cross-functional teams.
  • Work flexible hours to maintain production facility operations.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma required, with at least 1 year of experience in GMP pharmaceutical environments, specifically in drug product inspection and/or packaging.
  • Successful completion of health and visual acuity checks annually, including assessments for color blindness. Failing the vision test or annual recertification may lead to termination.
  • Strong math and documentation skills.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail.
  • Quick learner with an openness to innovative ideas.
  • Excellent observation skills.
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and proactive.
  • Well-organized, diligent, and capable of managing tasks independently.
