Maintenance Technician

Indianapolis $30.00 - $40.00 p/h Permanent

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment and facilities.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and time spent.
  • Assist in the installation, calibration, and validation of new equipment.
  • Monitor and maintain HVAC systems, water purification systems, and other critical utilities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Keep up-to-date with technological advancements and best practices in maintenance and GMP regulations.
  • Perform facilities maintenance tasks, including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of building infrastructure, including roofs, floors, and structural elements.
  • Coordinate with external contractors for specialized maintenance and repair work when required.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in maintenance or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician in a pharmaceutical or GMP-regulated environment.
  • Strong understanding of GMP regulations and their application in a maintenance context.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Familiarity with HVAC systems, water purification systems, and other critical utilities in a pharmaceutical setting.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
  • Strong commitment to safety and adherence to regulatory requirements.
