Engineer

Warsaw $70,000 - $95,000/yr Contract

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for working with and supporting internal and external partners to plan, design, develop, qualify, validate, and stabilize component and equipment development process solutions for new projects
  • Apply engineering principles, world-class manufacturing techniques, statistics, and judgment to resolve complex technical challenges and establish new methods, controls, and procedures
  • May be required to provide training to new engineers.
  • Takes the lead in developing new products and manufacturing processes.
  • Identifies all necessary tasks to complete project assignments in accordance with Design Control procedures.
  • Lead and support Design Transfer to manufacturing activities
  • Implement development engineering standards to support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Focuses on designing for ease of manufacturing, and cost efficiency.
  • Participates in root cause analysis to address and solve problems.
  • Contributes to the creation of a comprehensive testing and analysis protocol for the product.
  • Coordinates product evaluation with surgeons.
  • Prepares clear and definitive specifications for new products or modifies existing ones.

 

Qualifications:

  • BS in relevant field
  • Minimum of 3 years professional experience is required
  • Demonstrated ability to methodically investigate, determine appropriate solution and resolve problems using current technology
  • Ability to process customer complaints, engineering changes and nonconforming product, and make recommendations based upon business principles
  • Assures preproduction quality requirements are met Microsoft Office Suite and Project
