Laboratory Technologist

Indianapolis $45,000 - $50,000 Contract

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform clinical laboratory testing accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Resolve pendings and document specimen discrepancies.

  • Prepare workstations and instrumentation for testing.

  • Handle specimens properly and resolve technical issues.

  • Operate instruments to perform testing.

  • Resolve routine and non-routine assay problems.

  • Ensure the validity of test results through quality assurance and quality control procedures.

  • Perform experiments to evaluate new calibrators and QC lots.

  • Document quality control results and interpret them according to established procedures.

  • Document corrective action for unusual occurrences.

  • Analyze proficiency testing survey samples.

Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Excel experience is required

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment/laboratory environment

  • A degree in a life science discipline
