Job Responsibilities:


  • Perform routine calibration, verification, and maintenance of measurement instruments and equipment used in QC testing. Ensure all instruments are compliant with established standards and specifications.
  • Monitor and verify the accuracy and precision of measurement systems, including but not limited to analytical balances, spectrophotometers, and chromatographs.
  • Maintain accurate records of calibration, maintenance, and repair activities. Generate detailed reports on instrument performance, deviations, and corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, including FDA, USP, and ISO standards. Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and evidence of instrument performance.
  • Identify and resolve issues related to measurement equipment. Collaborate with QC and maintenance teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Provide training and guidance to QC staff on proper use and handling of measurement instruments. Assist in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to metrology.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of measurement processes. Propose and implement improvements to metrology practices and procedures.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Metrology, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in metrology or quality control are a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in metrology or a related field, preferably in a pharmaceutical or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of calibration standards, measurement techniques, and instrumentation. Proficiency with calibration software and tools.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards such as FDA, USP, and ISO.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to interpret complex data and generate accurate reports.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
