Perform routine calibration, verification, and maintenance of measurement instruments and equipment used in QC testing. Ensure all instruments are compliant with established standards and specifications.
Monitor and verify the accuracy and precision of measurement systems, including but not limited to analytical balances, spectrophotometers, and chromatographs.
Maintain accurate records of calibration, maintenance, and repair activities. Generate detailed reports on instrument performance, deviations, and corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, including FDA, USP, and ISO standards. Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and evidence of instrument performance.
Identify and resolve issues related to measurement equipment. Collaborate with QC and maintenance teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
Provide training and guidance to QC staff on proper use and handling of measurement instruments. Assist in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to metrology.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of measurement processes. Propose and implement improvements to metrology practices and procedures.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Metrology, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in metrology or quality control are a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in metrology or a related field, preferably in a pharmaceutical or manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of calibration standards, measurement techniques, and instrumentation. Proficiency with calibration software and tools.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards such as FDA, USP, and ISO.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to interpret complex data and generate accurate reports.
Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
