Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and evaluate manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in terms of efficiency, cost, and quality
  • Develop and implement process control strategies and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Conduct time and motion studies to optimize labor utilization and production workflows
  • Design and implement efficient facility layouts that support optimal material flow and adherence to GMP standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that new layouts and designs meet regulatory and operational requirements
  • Utilize simulation software to model and analyze production systems and facility layouts
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to reduce waste and variability in production processes
  • Lead and participate in Kaizen events and other continuous improvement activities
  • Train and mentor staff on Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Collect and analyze production data to monitor process performance and identify trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Prepare detailed reports on process efficiency, capacity utilization, and production costs
  • Use statistical analysis tools to support decision-making and process optimization
  • Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with GMP regulations and other relevant quality standards
  • Support the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions
  • Participate in internal and external audits, providing documentation and technical expertise as required
  • Manage process improvement projects from conception through completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to procure necessary equipment and services
  • Track project progress, manage risks, and communicate status updates to stakeholders
  • Provide training and support to manufacturing staff on new processes, equipment, and quality standards
  • Develop training materials and documentation to enhance staff knowledge and competence
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in industrial engineering, preferably in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment
  • Proven experience with process optimization, facility layout design, and project management
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies
