Microbiologist

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine microbiology sampling and testing for components, raw materials, in-process samples, finished product samples, and stability samples.

• Conduct environmental monitoring of the facility and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

• Maintain laboratory operations, including consumables ordering, daily instrument calibration/verification, and laboratory waste management.

• Support laboratory investigations, troubleshooting activities, and quality non-conformance resolutions.

• Assist in validation studies, cleaning validations, and process improvement projects.

• Ensure laboratory documentation is accurate, organized, and compliant with regulatory standards.

• Uphold quality excellence through attention to detail, efficiency, and adherence to GMP standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline (Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field) or equivalent experience.

• Strong math, documentation, and analytical skills.

• Experience working in a highly regulated environment.

• Proficiency with laboratory instrumentation and automated data management systems (e.g., LIMS, JMP, Minitab).

• Knowledge of microbiology testing methods, environmental monitoring, and laboratory best practices.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.

• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean) is a plus.
