Laboratory Associate

Indianapolis $20 - $24/HR Contract

Responsibilities:

  • Execute complex sample preparation procedures, including but not limited to normalized and volumetric aliquots, DNA/RNA purification, DNA/RNA quantifications, PBMC processing, and whole blood fractionation, adhering to stringent client-specific protocols.
  • Operate advanced laboratory equipment independently, such as pipettes, automated liquid handlers, spectrophotometers, and centrifuges, ensuring precise and efficient operation.
  • Process, store, and handle biological samples under rigorous conditions, following strict protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain the highest level of accuracy and integrity.
  • Maintain thorough, real-time documentation of all activities and identify and report deviations from established procedures to management immediately, ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Register and track incoming samples for laboratory processing, ensuring proper documentation and organization of all materials.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed with a high level of precision and in full compliance with SOPs and relevant regulatory requirements, including GxP, GLP, and other applicable industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or Associate’s degree with a minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in laboratory settings.
  • Proven experience working in a highly regulated laboratory environment, preferably under GxP or GLP standards.
  • Strong ability to work autonomously while maintaining a high level of productivity and accuracy.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage complex tasks and processes without error.
  • In-depth working knowledge of regulatory requirements such as GxP, GLP, or other industry standards.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and relevant lab management software.
