Greenhouse Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Ensure safety protocols are followed, including Isolation of Energy, Lock-Out-Tag-Out, Confined Spaces, and Forklift training.
• Perform routine tasks such as:
• Operating an industrial tipper/grinder.
• Driving company trucks and trailers (on company property).
• Using forklifts and pallet jacks to organize and stock supplies.
• Loading and operating automated washers, including pot and flat washers.
• Performing basic plant care within the greenhouses.
• Assisting with transplanting plants.
• Assisting with various plant samplings within the greenhouses.
• Troubleshooting and documenting issues within various automated systems.
• Participate in weekend shifts every 6th week, with compensation days provided once properly trained.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent education.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate company vehicles on-site, including forklift, pallet jack, and truck/trailer.
• Strong communication skills, self-motivation, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures while ensuring personal safety and ergonomics.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Physical ability to sit or stand for extended periods, lift up to 30 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks in a warm, humid greenhouse environment with year-round pollen exposure.
