Research Associate

Indianapolis $20.00 - $22.00/hr p/h Contract

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Experimental Work: Conduct laboratory experiments and studies following established protocols and procedures under the guidance of senior researchers and scientists.
  • Data Collection: Accurately record experimental procedures, observations, and results. Maintain meticulous and organized lab notebooks.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and contribute to the generation of actionable insights for ongoing research projects.
  • Instrument Operation: Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment, as well as troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance tasks.
  • Sample Preparation: Prepare samples and reagents for experiments, ensuring they meet quality and quantity requirements.
  • Quality Control: Assist in ensuring that all research activities and data collection meet quality control standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Literature Review: Review relevant scientific literature to stay informed about the latest research trends and advancements in the field.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including other researchers and scientists, to exchange information, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to the success of research projects.
  • Laboratory Safety: Follow established safety protocols and guidelines, and contribute to maintaining a safe and clean laboratory environment.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of experiments, procedures, and results, in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Training and Development: Participate in training sessions and seek continuous learning opportunities to enhance your research skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field (recent graduates are encouraged to apply).
  • Strong interest in scientific research and a basic understanding of laboratory techniques and procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and take on new challenges.
  • Commitment to laboratory safety and adherence to best practices.

Preferred Skills:

  • Laboratory experience through internships or coursework.
  • Familiarity with laboratory instruments and data analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements in the specific industry.
