Microbiology Technician

Responsibilities

• Conducts routine environmental monitoring (EM) in pharmaceutical cleanrooms, including daily, weekly, and monthly sampling of air (viable and nonviable) and surfaces.
• Collects compressed gas samples to verify they are free from microbial and chemical contamination.
• Maintains strict adherence to aseptic techniques during all sampling procedures.
• Accurately documents all sample collection activities in compliance with cGMP/GMP standards.
• Analyzes and records results from EM samples following SOP guidelines.
• Participates in laboratory investigations, including performance, review, and approval, as required.
• Conducts Environmental Monitoring process qualification sampling as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology, Biology, or other related scientific field.
• 1+ years of relevant industry experience in laboratory or clean room environment.
• Strong knowledge of microbiology principles and practices.
• Extremely detail-oriented with strong technical skills.
• Ability to thrive in a quickly changing environment.
