Design Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

· Create and finalize designs for total knee replacement (TKA) using CT images, CAD models, and product drawings, adhering to standardized work instructions

· Gain expertise in multiple departments to enhance versatility and support diverse project needs

· Optimize product designs by analyzing patient CT images and collaborate with case management coordinators to prioritize proposals and designs based on customer demand

· Review and release previously designed image segmentation, proposals, and models to ensure high-quality standards

· Assist in developing concepts under the supervision of Product Development Engineers and contribute to special projects as needed

· Maintain a schedule of deadlines and tasks, effectively prioritizing to meet project timelines

· Utilize strong interpersonal skills to work effectively in team-oriented project groups

· Demonstrate the ability to take initiative and manage tasks independently

· Provide constructive feedback and mentorship as required to junior team members

Qualifications:

· B.S. in Engineering or a related technical field is strongly preferred

· 1 year of design experience with CAD/CAM/AutoCAD systems and advanced design applications is preferred

· Proficiency in three-dimensional modeling and PLM software is preferred.

· Knowledge of orthopedic product design, orthopedic anatomy, and medical terminology is preferred.

· Experience with drafting and layout, project or product management, GD&T, ASME, rapid prototyping applications, free-form modeling techniques, and engineering calculations is preferred

· Experience with Unigraphics/NX, AMIRA, MIMICS is preferred
