Job Responsibilities:
· Design and implement automated systems for radiopharmaceutical production, including robotics, control systems, and software integration.
· Develop detailed specifications and design documentation for automation projects.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and ensure successful project execution.
· Analyze existing production processes and identify opportunities for automation to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
· Implement process control strategies and continuous improvement initiatives.
· Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot automation-related issues.
· Ensure all automated systems comply with relevant regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, GMP, ISO).
· Prepare and maintain documentation for validation, qualification, and compliance purposes.
· Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and technical expertise.
· Oversee the maintenance and calibration of automated systems and equipment.
· Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to ensure system reliability and minimize downtime.
· Provide technical support and training to production and maintenance teams.
· Manage automation projects from conception through completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
· Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to procure necessary equipment and services.
· Track project progress, manage risks, and communicate status updates to stakeholders.
· Monitor and analyze data from automated systems to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
· Generate reports on system performance, maintenance activities, and project outcomes.
· Use data analytics tools to enhance decision-making and process optimization.
· Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in automation and radiopharmaceutical production.
· Evaluate and recommend new automation technologies and tools.
· Lead the development and implementation of innovative solutions to improve production processes.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Automation, Control Systems, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in automation engineering, preferably in the pharmaceutical or radiopharmaceutical industry
· Proven experience with PLCs, SCADA systems, HMI programming, robotics, and control system design
· Strong knowledge of automation and control systems, including PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley), SCADA systems, and DCS
· Experience with robotics, vision systems, and motion control
· Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, C++, Ladder Logic) and software tools (e.g.,
