Production Chemist

Boston $70,000 - $90,000 Permanent

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform synthesis and purification of radiochemical compounds in accordance with GMP standards.
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain radiochemical equipment and instruments.
  • Prepare and test radiopharmaceutical products, ensuring they meet quality and regulatory specifications.
  • Accurately document all production activities, data, and results in compliance with SOPs and GMP regulations.
  • Conduct routine quality control testing and analysis, including radioactivity measurements, and other analytical techniques.
  • Assist with the development and optimization of radiochemical processes.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support as required.
  • Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment when handling radioactive materials.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Quality Assurance, Production, and R&D, to support project goals and timelines.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Radiochemistry, or a related scientific field.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience working in a GMP-regulated laboratory environment, preferably with experience in radiochemistry or radiopharmaceutical production.
  • Strong understanding of GMP and FDA regulations.
  • Experience with analytical techniques.
  • Knowledge of radiation safety protocols and regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be willing to work with radioactive materials and follow strict safety guidelines.
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and lift up to 20 pounds.
