Process Development Technician

Lexington $28 - $32 p/h Contract

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct hands-on laboratory tasks related to the production and characterization of viral vectors.
  • Maintain thorough and precise laboratory notebooks and records, adhering to company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Perform routine laboratory upkeep and equipment maintenance.
  • Assist in the analysis and interpretation of experimental data, including data entry and basic statistical evaluation.
  • Support the preparation of technical reports and presentations.
  • Contribute to the development of general and technical Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and assist in creating study-specific procedures.
  • Provide training for new staff members and fellow team members on designated processes.
  • Follow all established policies and SOPs.
  • Actively participate in SOP revisions in collaboration with supervisors and Quality Assurance.
  • Show a strong eagerness to learn new techniques and technologies relevant to bioprocessing and biomanufacturing.

Qualifications: 

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related field.

  • At least 1 year of industry experience in R&D, process development, or a related area.

  • Basic understanding of laboratory techniques, including cell culture, assay development, and data analysis.

  • Strong focus on accuracy and precision in laboratory work and documentation.

  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
