Environmental Safety Specialist

Job Description

• Conduct laboratory tests and experiments following standard operating procedures (SOPs) to evaluate seed quality and crop viability for different crop species.

• Monitor and maintain optimal laboratory conditions, including temperature, humidity, and lighting, to ensure reliable testing environments.

• Collect, record, and analyze data on germination rates, growth patterns, and other relevant parameters using Microsoft Office and appropriate software tools.

• Perform statistical analysis on test results and interpret findings to derive meaningful conclusions.

• Collaborate with agronomists, researchers, and product developers to develop and implement new germination techniques and seed treatment methods.

• Identify and troubleshoot issues that may arise during experiments, proposing appropriate solutions to ensure data and results integrity.

• Prepare reports and presentations summarizing research findings and contribute to scientific publications.

Qualifications

• Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science or any life science related bachelor's degree required

• Previous lab/field work experience desired (academia experience is accepted)

• Microsoft Office Proficiency

• Ability to work in a team setting
