St. Louis DOE p/h Contract
Job Description
Conduct laboratory tests and experiments following standard operating procedures (SOPs) to evaluate seed quality and crop viability for different crop species.
Monitor and maintain optimal laboratory conditions, including temperature, humidity, and lighting, to ensure reliable testing environments.
Collect, record, and analyze data on germination rates, growth patterns, and other relevant parameters using Microsoft Office and appropriate software tools.
Perform statistical analysis on test results and interpret findings to derive meaningful conclusions.
Collaborate with agronomists, researchers, and product developers to develop and implement new germination techniques and seed treatment methods.
Identify and troubleshoot issues that may arise during experiments, proposing appropriate solutions to ensure data and results integrity.
Prepare reports and presentations summarizing research findings and contribute to scientific publications.
Qualifications
Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science or any life science related bachelor's degree required
Previous lab/field work experience desired (academia experience is accepted)
Microsoft Office Proficiency
Ability to work in a team setting
