Facilities Technician

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct general and specialized maintenance tasks, such as patching, painting, hardware repairs, and necessary repair or replacement work.
• Carry out routine maintenance for facilities and equipment.
• Coordinate and supervise external contractors for facility-related work, including preventive maintenance, minor projects, or site improvements.
• Address and resolve daily facility system issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Perform regular inspections of assigned buildings and areas.
• Oversee the upkeep of facility grounds, including landscaping, snow removal, irrigation systems, waste management, and recycling programs.
• Manage inventory of facility-related spare parts and supplies.
• Assist with or independently handle detailed cleaning of both interior and exterior facility spaces.
• Adhere to the Facilities Work Request System.
• Maintain facility equipment systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and appliances.
• Assist engineering and utilities technicians with maintenance of utility systems, such as boilers, plant steam systems, and refrigeration systems.
• Document all completed work promptly and accurately.
• Oversee and execute event setup and breakdown, ensuring spaces are restored to their normal state promptly.

Requirement:

• High school diploma with technical training
• Minimum of 3 years experience troubleshooting and repairing facility systems in an operational or manufacturing environment.
• Preferred: Certification in HVAC, building maintenance technology, or a related field.
