Planning Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Analyze customer orders and determine optimal production schedules, considering key inputs such as customer requirements, raw material availability, and equipment capacity, in collaboration with Project Management teams.
• Communicate special requirements and production needs to relevant personnel.
• Update and maintain planning and scheduling information in the inventory management system.
• Support the introduction of new products, including Bill of Materials (BOMs) and item master data.
• Verify material availability and assess capacity before rescheduling production activities.
• Create, monitor, and update manufacturing work orders and parts lists within the system.
• Ensure compliance with Quality System standards relevant to planning and operational processes.
• Update existing reports, generate new reports as needed, and track departmental performance metrics.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S standards and adhere to SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for all tasks and responsibilities.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2-5 years of relevant experience in planning or related roles.
• Proficiency in reading and understanding English-written instructions and safety guidelines.
• Proven ability to interact and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, customers, and suppliers.
• Experience using electronic ERP and Material Management systems is required.
• Prior experience working in a cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practice) environment is essential.
• ASCM (Association for Supply Chain Management) or ISM (Institute for Supply Management) certification preferred.
