Microbiologist

Job Responsibilities:


  • Perform microbiological tests on samples such as food, water, pharmaceuticals, and environmental samples.
  • Isolate, identify, and characterize microorganisms using culture methods, microscopy, biochemical tests, and molecular techniques.
  • Analyze and interpret data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established protocols.
  • Assist in research projects to develop and improve microbiological methods and procedures.
  • Support the development and validation of new products and processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on research and product development initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including FDA, USDA, EPA, and ISO standards.
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and instruments.
  • Implement and follow quality control and quality assurance protocols.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all tests and experiments.
  • Prepare technical reports and summaries of research findings.
  • Communicate findings effectively to team members, management, and external stakeholders.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in a microbiology laboratory setting.
  • Proficiency in microbiological techniques and methods, including culture, isolation, identification, and molecular techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and best practices.
