Microbiologist II

Indianapolis $50,000 - $80,000 Contract

Responsibilities

  • Design and conduct microbiological experiments and research projects to address specific scientific questions or business objectives.
  • Perform a variety of microbiological tests, including but not limited to microbial identification, antimicrobial susceptibility testing, and molecular biology techniques.
  • Ensure laboratory equipment is properly calibrated and maintained..
  • Implement and maintain quality control standards in laboratory procedures and data analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including biochemists, geneticists, and other scientists, to integrate microbiological findings into broader research projects.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Innovation and Problem-Solving:
  • Contribute to the development of novel methodologies and techniques to enhance research capabilities.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues in experimental procedures, providing solutions to ensure accurate and reliable results.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Microbiology or a related field.
  • Proven experience in microbiological research, with a track record of successful projects and publications.
  • Expertise in a range of microbiological techniques, including microbial culture, molecular biology, and bioinformatics.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and quality control standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
