Research Assistant I

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform a wide range of laboratory tasks, adhering to established protocols and safety measures. These tasks may involve sample preparation, data collection, and equipment maintenance.

• Efficiently manage and organize research data, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Utilize various software tools and systems for data entry, analysis, and storage.

• Operate and maintain small-scale production equipment and control systems. Ensure equipment is in optimal working condition and troubleshoot when unexpected issues arise.

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and suggest methods to enhance the efficiency and quality of laboratory procedures.

• Take on projects of limited duration and scope, developing plans and timelines to ensure timely completion. Collaborate with team members to achieve project objectives.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues when erroneous or unexpected results occur. Use critical thinking and scientific knowledge to address challenges effectively.

• Responsible for generating research experimental results, information/data management outcomes, and assembling/configuring small-scale production equipment. Document findings accurately and comprehensively.

• Communicate research results, findings, and recommendations effectively within the team. Collaborate with colleagues to share insights and contribute to the overall success of the research and development initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Biology or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in laboratory techniques, data management, and equipment operation.
• Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to process improvement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a research team.
